Learning English is more affordable now!
The government has extended the duration for claiming Continuing Education Fund (CEF) reimbursement to four years. Any successful applicant may also submit up to 4 claims when the application was approved. Please ask our consultants for further details.

Continuing Education Fund
In order to further develop Hong Kong’s status of a cosmopolitan city, the government established the Continuing Education Fund (CEF), which provides cash subsidies to adults who wish to pursue continuing education and training courses. Wall Street Institute (WSI) English courses qualify for CEF funding. Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of their fees, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, upon successful completion of a reimbursable course once they have passed a specified benchmark test such as BULATS, provided by WSI. Hong Kong residents aged from 18 to 65 (who have enrolled in and paid the tuition fee for a reimbursable course before the course commences) |
| Reimbursable Amount |
80% of fees will be reimbursed, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000 (including the course fee as well as the cost for taking English Benchmark Examination) |
| Regulation of Application |
Each applicant may obtain approval once only. A successful applicant may submit a maximum of four claims for reimbursement and, in any event, within four years from the date that the application was approved. |
| Application Procedures |
| (i) |
Complete the application form (SFAA 192) which is available from District Offices and the Office of the Continuing Education Fund (OCEF) and can also be downloaded from http://www.sfaa.gov.hk/cef/ |
| (ii) |
The completed application form together with photocopies of HKID card should be submitted by post to :

Room 916, 9/F, Kwai Hing Government Offices,
166-174 Hing Fong Road, Kwai Chung, N.T. |
| (iii) |
Applicants may also place their applications in the drop-in box on 12/F., Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices. |

| Language Benchmark Test |
Claimants studying language courses (e.g. BULATS) are required to pass a specified benchmark test at the specified (or higher) level before the expiry of the four year validity period. |
